Are you looking to add a Geospatial Location Provider or Mapping Service to your EHR/EMR Technology Solution? Then look no further! Bing Maps provides a seamless integration, making it a whole lot easier to geocode and validate your Patient and Location addresses, as well as utilize the additional features that that may be required, such as data mapping visualizations, patient routing and appointment check-ins using Bing Maps geofencing features (especially in light of the current public health crises).

How do I get started?

We recommend first that you register for a free Basic Bing Maps Account at the Bing Maps Dev Center (https://www.bingmapsportal.com). Once you have created your account, you will need to create your own key within the dashboard to use in your PoC or Dev environment first. Your Basic Bing Maps Account will give you full API Access and 125,000 transactions for you to begin testing and seeing just how Bing Maps will work with your EHR implementation. After your Dev evaluation is complete, you should then reach out to the Bing Maps Team to find out what is needed to get an Enterprise license for Bing Map.

Who is using Bing Maps in Healthcare and why should my organization?

Bing Maps is used extensively in Healthcare EHR solutions throughout North America and Europe as the preferred geospatial provider. From some of the largest health insurers, hospital networks, universities and even smaller neighborhood and not-for-profit organizations – Bing Maps is driving their geospatial and mapping needs. A key example of how Bing Maps is being utilized in the current state of the world in public health is the John Hopkins Coronavirus Tracker (https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/us-map) powered by Bing Maps.
